Staff from South Devon’s Beverley Holidays were put through their baking paces recently in a charity bake-off to mark the annual World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

Receptionists, entertainers and other members of the holiday park’s team battled it out in the kitchen for the title of Beverley’s Star Baker, raising almost £300 for Macmillan in cake sales.

Their brilliant bake-off creations were judged by Macmillan volunteers Stephen Edwards and Valerie Judd, coupled with Simon Waugh from White Rock Festival Of Learning.

The scrumptious spread of home-made cakes were served up to hungry coffee morning attendees, including students from White Rock Primary School and holiday park guests.

8306_fullBeverley’s own entertainment team wowed the visiting crowds with an exclusive performance of their Once Upon A Time show featuring songs inspired by Frozen.

Macmillan volunteer Stephen Edwards said: “We had a brilliant time judging Beverley’s bake off, and the team did an excellent job baking lots of delicious home-made cakes.”

Marketing directo this very worthy cause.

“And there’s an equally big well done to the Beverley team on their brilliant bake-off entries!”
