Celebrated Suffolk park joins Park Holidays UK
Park Holidays UK has become the new owner of Carlton Meres Country Park in Suffolk, based just ten miles inland from the picturesque seaside town of Aldeburgh.
The company’s acquisition of the popular and long-established business in Carlton Saxmundham brings to 27 the number of parks operated by the group in Southern England.
Park Holidays UK now owns four parks in Suffolk, and director Tony Clish says that Carlton Meres is an exciting new addition to the existing portfolio.
With its well-stocked fishing lakes, tranquil location and abundance of leisure facilities, said Tony, the park widens even further the diversity of what the group can offer customers.
Carlton Meres has long been a popular choice for holiday home buyers, and more than 200 lodges and caravan holiday homes are located in its extensive of grounds.
There are also holiday homes to rent, and pitches for touring caravans and motorhomes.
Facilities include an outdoor swimming pool, a fully-equipped gym and spa suite, tennis courts, an adventure playground, plus restaurant, bar, and games and snooker areas.
Carlton Meres also has much to offer lovers of natural beauty, and boasts a wealth of wildlife in its ancient woodland setting with a network of paths to explore.
Within easy reach of the park is the picture-postcard Suffolk Heritage Coastal Region, including the seaside towns of Aldeburgh and Southwold.
The gated park also has a special appeal to anglers with a raft of different species including carp of up to 40 lbs, and regular fishing tournaments.
Tony Clish says that Park Holidays UK now intends to start writing a new chapter in Carlton Meres’ success story:
“Our plan is to start rolling out an extensive investment programme immediately which will benefit both existing holiday home owners and new customers, ” he said.
“Park Holidays UK always aims to ensure that its parks provide the very best in their class, and we’ll be applying exactly the same principles to Carlton Meres.
“We’re very proud to welcome a park of such character and distinction to our group, and to broaden even further the range of experiences we can deliver,” added Tony.
Details of Carlton Meres Country Park, with its leisure home ownership and holiday rental opportunities, will be published shortly on the group’s website at www.ParkHolidays.com
