CONGRATULATIONS from their local MP were in order this week for a couple from Seascale, Cumbria, who manage a popular retirement park near the town.

Ralph and Hazel Jacklin were both presented with Exceptional Service Awards by Trudy Harrison MP during a special visit she paid to Fell View Park in Gosforth.

The award is the highest honour given by British Holiday & Home Parks Association to their businesses.

Fell View Park provides a peaceful rural setting for those in or near retirement

Ralph and Hazel are responsible for the day-to-day running of Fell View Park which provides outstanding views of the Lakeland fells and surrounding countryside.

The business is part of the family-run Berkeleyparks group of residential parks.

The couple have been with the company for over 25 years, and two of their sons also work with Berkeleyparks in the south of England.

At the award presentation ceremony, Ralph and Hazel were congratulated both by Trudy Harrison MP and by David Curson who is managing director of Berkeleyparks:

“We rely heavily on our managers to sustain the mutually supportive atmosphere which our parks provide,” said David.

“Ralph and Hazel are always prepared to make sure that the park offers a first-class living environment.

“We’re very grateful that Trudy Harrison was able to two highly valued members of our team,” he added.

Fell View Park has 85 privately-owned park homes in its landscaped grounds where people in or near retirement can enjoy peaceful and well-managed surroundings.
