“Exceptional” Jane praised by MP at award presentation
CONGRATULATIONS from her local MP were in order this month for a Rochester woman who manages a popular residential park homes estate near the town.
Jane Duffield was presented with an Exceptional Service Award by Kelly Tolhurst MP during a special visit she paid to Hoo Marina Park in the village of Hoo.
The award is the highest honour given by British Holiday & Home Parks Association to park staff who have made “significant and substantial” contributions to their businesses.
Jane is responsible for the day-to-day running of Hoo Marina Park which is part of the family-run Berkeleyparks group of residential parks.
Jane joined the company 15 years ago, and has been in charge at Hoo Marina for the past five years having previously been based at Tower Park in Hockley, Essex.
At the award presentation ceremony, Jane was congratulated both by Kelly Tolhurst and by senior executive at Berkeleyparks Julie Lloyd.
“We rely heavily on our managers to help our residents enjoy their lifestyles, and to sustain the mutually supportive atmosphere which our parks provide,” said Julie.
“Jane is always prepared to go the extra mile to give whatever assistance is needed, and to make sure that the park offers a first-class living environment.
“We’re very grateful that Kelly Tolhurst was able to take time out to congratulate Jane and give her good wishes to a highly valued member of our team,” she added.
Hoo Marina Park has 310 privately-owned park homes in its landscaped grounds where couples and families of all ages can enjoy peaceful and well-managed surroundings.
