“Exceptional” Noreen praised by MP at award presentation

Johnathan Djanogly MP congratulates park manager Noreen Cross on her Exceptional Service Award

CONGRATULATIONS from her local MP were in order this month for a Cambridgeshire woman who manages a popular residential park near the market town of St Ives.

Noreen Cross was presented with an Exceptional Service Award by Johnathan Djanogly MP during a special visit he paid to St Ives Park.

The award is the highest honour given by British Holiday & Home Parks Association to their businesses.

St Ives Park provides a peaceful rural setting for those in or near retirement

Noreen is responsible for the day-to-day running of St Ives Park which is part of the family-run Berkeleyparks group of residential parks.

She has lived on the park for around 30 years, and ten years ago took up the position of its manager.

At the award presentation ceremony, Noreen was congratulated both by Johnathan Djanogly, MP for Huntingdon, and by David Curson who is managing director of Berkeleyparks:

“We rely heavily on our managers to sustain the mutually supportive atmosphere which our parks provide,” said David.

“Noreen is always prepared to make sure that the park offers a first-class living environment.

“We’re very grateful that Johnathan Djanogly was able to a highly valued member of our team,” he added.

St Ives Park has just under 100 privately-owned park homes in its landscaped grounds where people in or near retirement can enjoy peaceful and well-managed surroundings.
