CONGRATULATIONS from his local MP were in order this week for a Llantwit Major man who manages a major retirement park in the town.

John Fellows was presented with an Exceptional Service Award by Alun Cairns MP during a special visit he paid to Ham Manor Park.

The award is the highest honour given by British Holiday & Home Parks Association to their businesses.

The park provides a peaceful rural setting for those in or near retirement

John Fellows is responsible for the day-to-day running of Ham Manor Park which is part of the family-run Berkeleyparks group of residential parks.

He has served with the company for 22 years, and was congratulated both by Alun Cairns and  David Curson who is managing director of Berkeleyparks:

“We rely heavily on our managers to sustain the mutually supportive atmosphere which our parks provide,” said David.

“John is always prepared to make sure that the park offers a first-class living environment.

“We’re very grateful that Mr Cairns was able to a highly valued member of our team,” he added.

Ham Manor Park has around 100 privately-owned park homes in its landscaped grounds where people in or near retirement can enjoy peaceful and well-managed surroundings.
