After a triple triumph of awards, the family owners of The Orchards holiday park on the Isle of Wight have issued a massive “thank you!” to their guests.

The Newbridge park says it was propelled into the three top spots by the thumbs-up given to The Orchards and its staff by visiting holidaymakers.

In spring, The Orchards joined a small elite of parks flying the coveted AA Gold Pennant, the most prestigious award given out by the AA to its highest rated parks.

In order to qualify for the award, The Orchards was subjected to a rigorous inspection regime which scrutinised almost every aspect of its facilities and services.

These included reviews left by customers – and the AA’s opinion was that the business could truly be described as a caravan and camping park right at the top of its game.

Also in spring, The Orchards was voted the best family park in Britain for touring guests in an annual poll run by top-selling magazines Practical Caravan and Practical Motorhome.

Readers are asked each year to deliver their verdicts on parks they have visited – and out of 3,000 eligible parks, The Orchards triumphed as their family-friendly favourite.

The business’s next honour came in the form of a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence which are given only to firms which attract an exceptional number of glowing reviews.

Owners of The Orchards, Julie Gray and her husband Tim, say they are absolutely delighted that customers’ experiences had gained them the accolade.

Since taking on The Orchards 14 years ago, the couple have invested much time and energy into creating an idyllic holiday destination for Isle of Wight visitors.

Bordering an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the park provides camping, touring caravan and motorhome pitches with spectacular views across the island’s gentle countryside.

There are also luxury caravan holiday homes to hire, and facilities including heated indoor and outdoor pools, a coffee shop, mini-supermarket and activity games areas.

Julie Gray said that she and Tim were especially pleased that all three awards placed a strong emphasis on what customers thought of the quality of service they received:

“Much of the credit for the positive comments we get from our guests must go to our park’s hard-working staff team,” said Julie.

“They are always prepared to go the extra mile to make holidaymakers feel welcome and at home, and to help them get the most out of their stay.

“These awards are a fantastic start to the summer for us, and I hope they will also put the spotlight on the Isle of Wight generally as a great holiday destination,”  she added.

The park is a member of the Best of British group, a consortium of independent parks providing some of the highest quality standards and levels of hospitality in the UK.
