Holiday group’s new Sussex park looks to active future

Bay View’s landscaped grounds also include a 33-acre golf course (above) with sweeping ocean views

PARK HOLIDAYS UK has announced its acquisition of Bay View Holiday Park near Eastbourne in East Sussex, a neighbour to the group’s existing Pevensey Bay Holiday Park.

Separated by just a few hundred yards, the two seaside parks will now combine and become a major south coast holiday destination for activity-loving families.

A short stroll from the beach, Bay View is set in six acres of landscaped grounds, and also boasts a popular 33-acre nine-hole golf course with sweeping sea views.

Park Holidays UK director Tony Clish said that Bay View’s previous family owners had done a magnificent job in creating a park of the highest quality standards:

“Bay View’s stunning location is matched by the first-class surroundings maintained by the Simmonds family, and we are very grateful to them for this,” said Mr Clish.

Pevensey Bay Holiday Park is just yards from Bay View and will share facilities

“Its golf course, beach access, and close proximity to our Pevensey Bay Holiday Park.

“At Pevensey we provide private beach access as well as a swimming pool, spa pool and sauna, and a fully-equipped gym and fitness centre. Holiday home owners can take advantage of our launching jetty for boats and jet-skis.

“Bringing the two two parks together will offer a superb holiday choice for families who enjoy making the most of their leisure time in well-managed surroundings,” he added.

Tony Clish said that the merged parks would benefit from Park Holidays UK’s decision to invest more than £20 million in its holiday centres over the coming months.

Among the plans for the Bay View site is the creation of a high quality holiday home development of up top-specification holiday retreats.

Other opportunities are also available to own or rent holiday homes at the enlarged park, including super-luxury holiday lodges with private decking.

Everyone at Park Holidays UK is greatly looking forward tory.

Five of the expanding company’s 33 holiday parks are based in East and West Sussex, and in addition to Pevensey include Chichester Lakeside Holiday Park, Rye Harbour Holiday Park, Winchelsea Sand Holiday Park, and Coghurst Hall Holiday Park in Hastings.

All of Park Holidays UK’s seaside parks, which extend from Devon in the west to Suffolk in the east, are described on the company’s website at www.ParkHolidays.com
