In a field of their own – Somerset park’s love letters to NHS

Warren Farm Holiday Centre created its NHS tribute on the games field with each letter higher than a house

THE FAMILY OWNERS of a locked-down Somerset holiday park have given a huge “thank you” to NHS staff with a tribute in 30-foot high letters on its games field.

Warren Farm Holiday Centre in Brean used a ride-on lawnmower to spell out “NHS” in praise of the life-saving work being undertaken by front-line workers.

Park directo show their appreciation of the “amazing and tireless efforts” of NHS staff and other key workers during the crisis.

Mike and his brother Chris are the fifth generation of the Harris family to run Warren Farm Holiday Centre which began life as a dairy farm and small camping field.

Five miles of sandy Somerset beaches are just a stroll away from the park

Today it provides around 1,350 pitches for torhomes and campers just a short stroll from Brean’s famous five-mile stretch of sandy beaches.

He promises them a celebration welcome back when movement restrictions are lifted and the park feels it is safe to open – plus a number of new features that have recently been completed on the park.

These include an additional 30 super-pitches for seasonal caravans which feature private en-suite facilities with showers, hand basins, torage areas for each caravan.

In fact, says Mike, the park quickly had to meet as much of the demand as possible:

“We hope eventually touring caravans,” said Mike.

“The first three of these short-stay pitches are already available, and are always booked very early.

“Warren Farm is creating what we believe to a whole new level.

“Over many decades, our family has constantly invested in the park on behalf of its custo do what we can against the background of the present economic reality,” added Mike.
