Luxury lodges are at the forefront of new holiday home ownership developments being rolled out by Park Holidays UK at half of its 26 Southern England parks this year.
Although holiday caravans are included on some of the new pitches being created, the company says the weighting towards lodges reflects their fast-rising popularity as leisure homes.
Fuelling lodge demand has been Park Holidays UK’s policy of extending the holiday season on its parks, many of which are now open for up to 11.5 months of the year.
The high standards of insulation and heating in lodge properties, it says, mean that owners can take holidays throughout the four seasons in assured comfort.
In addition, the generous size of lodges – up to their permanent home.
This year, Park Holidays UK says it plans top-rated coastal parks in Devon, Kent, Sussex and Suffolk.
The majority of these will comprise two and three bedroom lodges starting in price from around £89,000 and including all furnishings as well as integrated kitchen appliances.
Park Holidays UK says it also incorporates outside decking or verandas in the cost as these are now regarded by buyers as “must have” complements to the lodge lifestyle.
