Beverley Holidays in Devon is celebrating the man with the golden touch after its head of entertainment, Drew Baker, was honoured at the recent Devon Tourism Awards 2016.
Drew was crowned the gold award winner in the Unsung Hero For Custo the prestigious title.
The accolade recognises Drew’s exceptional achievements in ensuring that Beverley’s holiday guests enjoy outstanding levels of personal service and hospitality.
Drew stepped up to receive his honour at the glittering finals of the Devon Tourism Awards which were help this autumn at the Great Hall at the University of Exeter.
The customer service superstar’s award followed hot on the heels of his recent success in the Herald Express English Riviera and South Devon Tourism and Hospitality Awards 2016.
Drew, a popular figure among holidaymakers at the multi-award winning park, came away from that ceremony with a sparkling silver award for his skills.
He was nominated for both awards by members of the Beverley Holidays team who were keen to providing guests with amazing life-long memories.
Drew said he felt both honoured at humbled by the Devon Tourism gold award:
“I am absolutely thrilled tomer service is an area for which I feel a real passion, and which is at the heart of everything we do here at Beverley Holidays.
“My aim, and that of all our hard-working team members, is to finish – and leave not as guests, but as friends,” said Drew.
Chairman of the Devon Tourism Awards Panel David Fursdon said that the county enjoyed a first-class reputation for high standards across all areas of its visitor industry.
Awards such as Drew’s, said David, reaffirmed Devon’s commitment to excellence in all that it strives for on behalf of its valued holidaymakers.
