NEW ROMNEY’S MARLIE HOLIDAY PARK has celebrated a total new look for its clubhouse with an evening of entertainment and an official opening by the town’s Mayor John Rivers.

One of Kent’s most popular parks, Marlie opened its doors to guests this month (March) for the unveiling of its top-to-toe makeover, completed at the end of last month.

The Mayor of New Romney was joined by former EastEnders star Ricky Jones who played Garry Hobbs in the soap, plus a line-up of musicians and singers plus comedy and magic acts.

The park said it is absolutely delighted with the no-expense-spared refurbishment, and that guests will now be able to relax, wine and dine and be entertained in sumptuous new surroundings

The clubhouse boasts attractions for all ages, and includes high-tech staging and lighting facilities for its nightly shows performed in summer by visiting professionals.

There’s also a spacious bar with a super-size TV and dog-friendly area, a games zone with the latest video-based challenges, and restaurant tables to enjoy snacks and full meals.

The makeover has been topped off with a new front-of-house pizza oven where guests can see their freshly-prepared meal being cooked to order in the traditional Italian manner.

Other attractions in the clubhouse include a swimming pool with a children’s splash area, and an adventure playground where youngsters can let off steam.

Brad May, Chief Marketing Officer at Park Holidays UK which owns Marlie Holiday Park, said that the new-look clubhouse is a fantastic addition to its attractions:

Children’s entertainment formed part of the opening night celebrations, along with a cabaret

“Marlie is one of the longest-standing members of our group, and certainly one of the most popular both with holiday guests and those looking to own a holiday home.

“It’s also much appreciated by other businesses in the area, such as shops, pubs, restaurants and visitor attractions which benefit from the spending of our guests.

“This latest investment will ensure that everyone continues to enjoy the best experience possible in one of Kent’s most delightful and family-friendly seaside locations,” said Brad.

Families staying at the park can choose from a wide range of accommodation options from holiday caravans to luxury lodges, all just a short stroll from the clubhouse.

Marlie Holiday Park also provides opportunities for holiday home ownership which allows couples and families to enjoy breaks and longer stays throughout the four seasons.
