MEMBERS of BH&HPA’s North West branch gathered this autumn in the elegant surrounding of Mitton Hall in rural Lancashire for a meeting which included the branch’s AGM.

The 15th century manor on the banks of the River Ribble serves today as a contemporary country house hotel set in landscaped grounds near the market town of Clitheroe.

Delegates were welcomed by branch director Thomas Marshall and enjoyed a light lunch in the Hall’s sumptuous surroundings before the meeting formally began.

The AGM saw strong support for the work of the branch committee and its officers, all of whom were re-elected to continue representing and serving the interests of member parks.

The well-attended meeting then welcomed BH&HPA’s director of policy and public affairs Katherine Squires to provide an update from the association’s central office.

Ms Squires outlined progress on a broad range of issues affecting holiday and residential parks, and the representations being made at national and regional levels on their behalf.

The well-attended meeting also provided the opportunity for members to reconnect, exchange ideas, and discuss the Branch’s plans for the year ahead.

The North West Branch’s officers were confirmed as Thomas Marshall (director), John Kirkham (chair), Alex Ward (vice chair), Clare Yates (secretary), Justin Allitt (secretary and press officer), and Andrew Brewer (treasurer).

Committee members are Paul Lancaster, John Marshall, Richard Prestwich, Ashley Rostron, Rob Walters, Michael Ward, James Wightman, and Ashley Wright.

The branch also extended its sincere thanks to Monika Wright, who has stepped down from the committee after many years of valued service and dedication.
