Pettycur Bay Holiday Park named as Fife’s best family business

Tommy Wallace and his wife Shona collect the winner’s trophy at the Courier Business Awards

SCOTLAND’S PETTYCUR BAY HOLIDAY PARK in Kinghorn is celebrating being named Fife’s Best Family Business at the Courier Business Awards 2025.

Judges in the competition announced their decision this autumn at a glittering awards ceremony attended by more than 750 guests from across the region.

The event was held at the Apex City Quay Hotel in Dundee, and hosted by popular BBC broadcaster and television presenter Jason Mohammed.

Pettycur Bay Holiday Park, located on the south coast of Fife with a host of family-friendly attractions and facilities, is owned by the third generation of the Wallace family.

The family also own The Bay Hotel, part of Pettycur Bay Holiday Park, The Old Manor Hotel in Lundin Links, and two other top-rated caravan parks in Fife.

Park director Tommy Wallace, said: “We’ve been providing memorable holiday experiences for over forty years, and have strong family values. Fife is a very good place to do business.

“Our business began life as a caravan park with just over one hundred caravans, and that number has now risen to over six hundred and a growing portfolio of other parks and hotels.

“It was a fantastic experience to attend the Courier Business Awards night, and we’re absolutely delighted to be walking away with this prize and bringing it back to Fife’s Sunshine Coast.

“The credit for achieving this accolade belongs to our whole team and their determination to create happy holiday memories for all of our guests.

“The judges clearly recognised the special qualities which Pettycur Bay Holiday Park possesses, in terms both of the quality of its facilities and standards of service provided.

“We will be celebrating this prestigious award for a good while yet!” added Tommy.

The Courier Business Awards celebrate the very best businesses across Tayside, Fife and Stirling in terms of their entrepreneurship, support of staff, and commitment to customer care.
