Go-ahead for Cornwall lodges with real southern comfort

Sited almost as southerly as it’s possible to be in Britain, the new lodges bask in Lizard’s balmy climate

A FAMILY-RUN holiday park in Cornwall has been given the green light top location with dramatic sea views.

But there is also another claim to fame for the six luxury holiday hideaways now being sited at Gwendreath Farm Holiday Park on the Lizard Peninsula.

That’s because the new owners of the lodges will be enjoying their breaks almost as far south as it’s possible to be in Great Britain.

And with access to relax in the Lizard’s balmy climate throughout the four seasons.

Gwendreath is owned by Thea Albone and her husband Neill who first acquired the park six years ago after falling in love with its beautiful location above Kennack Sands.

They have since invested much time and energy into a holiday paradise for those seeking an away-from-it-all escape.

Their reward has been to luxury lodges:

“We received regular holiday home sales enquiries before lockdown, but now we have re-opened, the number is increasing almost on a daily basis,” said Thea.

“I think that more people are now deciding to long-term holidays in this country, and owning your own bolt-hole on a park provides the greatest flexibility.

“What many are looking for is a to go for these spacious and beautifully appointed lodges.

Beautiful Kennack Sands is just a short stroll from the cliff-top holiday park

“We’re ensuring that they are all sited too strong, the beach is just a ten-minute stroll away!” added Thea.

The two and three bedroom lodges will all have glass-fronted exterior decked areas for al-fresco dining, or for just sitting back and taking in the stunning scenery.

A host of other features in the demo lodge include underfloor heating, Bluetooth Surround Sound, washer/dryer, dishwasher, and interior designer inspired decor and furnishings.

Prices will start from £149,000 dependant on where the plot is located.

Thea believes the lodges will appeal especially to lovers of natural beauty, and there are many delightful walks both nearby and on the park itself where there is a wooded wildlife area.

The show-home is currently available for viewing and to buy, and there are more details about the lodges and the park on its website at www.gwendreathfarmholidaypark.co.uk
