THE FAMILY OWNERS of Paignton’s Beverley Holidays and their park team celebrated an historic milestone as this year’s tourism season drew to a close.
Over 55,000 bed nights were booked in 2024, surpassing the park’s previous record of 53,200 bed nights set in 2021 during the COVID-19 travel surge.
In total, Beverley Holidays welcomed over 35,000 guests in 2024, bringing renewed energy and economic support to the English Riviera.
Over the past two years Beverley Holidays has made significant investments in its business, including committing over £2 million to enhance guest facilities.
The park has added a variety of new accommodation, from hot tub caravans to luxury lodges, all designed to elevate the staycation experience.
This commitment to quality, coupled with a focus on customer service, has made Beverley Holidays a standout destination for families, couples, and pet-friendly holiday-goers alike.
“We couldn’t have achieved this milestone without the hard work and dedication of our incredible team who keep guest experience at the forefront of everything we do,” said Nicola Furneaux, director of Beverley Holidays.
“Their commitment, along with strategic investments in our accommodations and facilities, has allowed us to reach new heights.
“We’re grateful too for the ongoing support from our local partners in helping us grow and attract more visitors to the Bay, and to the Ruth Badger Consultancy in helping us to expand and develop.”
The park’s facilities include two outdoor pools, an indoor pool, live entertainment, two restaurants, and a café – and Nicola says the team remains focused on delivering top-tier experiences that meet evolving guest expectations.
“This record-breaking season has allowed us to expand our team, strengthen our community ties, and contribute to making the Bay a vibrant destination,” she added.
Nicola is helped in the running of the park by her husband Gary Furneaux and her sister Claire Flower who is also Vice Chair of the British Holiday & Home Parks Association.
Earlier in 2024, Beverley Holidays was named as the region’s Tourism Business of the Year for the third year in succession in the Naturally Inspiring Business Awards organised by Torbay Weekly newspaper.
