A SCOTTISH FAMILY’S holiday parks group has announced a £1 million investment this January after reporting a surge in advance bookings for 2021.

Argyll Holidays, which owns eight holiday parks across Argyll and Bute, says that the demand for staycations “shows no signs of slowing” despite the current lockdown.

It reports that reservations for stays from families for March onward are up by more than 100% compared with the same period in 2019

Holiday home sales are also strong, it says, with a 40% increase in sales across both its holiday caravans and luxury holiday lodges compared with March 2020.

Much of its new £1 million investment will be in a major re-branding exercise designed to reinforce the group’s reputation as Scotland’s leading holiday brand.

As well as a distinctive new logo reflecting its quality status, there is also a new and more efficient website designed to make the booking process even easier.

The new branding is also being carried across the uniforms worn by members of Argyll Holidays’ 260-strong staff team.

Director Keith Campbell said: “Last year was a major challenge in so many ways, but we still experienced record demand – and many of these guests have re-booked for 2021.

“Our holiday home sales also saw a real spike in 2020 with families recognising the benefits of owning a caravan or lodge, and having somewhere they can easily escape to year-round.

Holiday parks owned by the group are set in gorgeous surroundings and offer high quality standards

“Our new branding comes at an exciting time for Argyll Holidays. Not only are we seeing light at the end of the tunnel with the pandemic, but there is also a renewed passion and excitement for holidaying in Scotland.

“We expect to see more holidaymakers seeking outdoor breaks where they can embrace nature and open spaces, and enjoy a real sense of freedom in beautiful surroundings.

“Spending time to that.

“Scottish holidaymakers are keen tomers who return year after year.

“Holidaying in a responsible way is also high on people’s agendas. Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do – from the day-to purchasing local goods and services,” said Keith.

A family-run business, Argyll Holidays started from humble farmland roots over 50 years ago and has grown to become Scotland’s market-leading holiday brand.

Holiday parks include Loch Lomond Holiday Park, Drimsynie Estate Holiday Village, and Hunters Quay Holiday Village, all set in enviable locations surrounded by stunning landscapes.

Argyll Holidays’ new brand will roll out across its holiday parks from January, and the company is taking advance bookings for spring, summer and beyond.
