BEVERLEY HOLIDAYS in Paignton celebrated the opening of the park’s new Harbour Heights development this summer as the family-owned business marked its 70th anniversary.
Torbay’s civic mayor Hazel Foster cut the ribbon to officially launch the collection of 12 luxury holiday lodges boasting breathtaking views across the English Riviera coast.
Ms Foster was joined by senior tourism officials from across the region, local community officials, team members, and four generations of the park-owning Jeavons family.
It was 70 years since Joseph Stanley Jeavons bought the 21 acres of farmland with spectacular ocean vistas that would become the multi-award winning Beverley Holidays
Today, the five-star park is one of Devon’s most popular destinations for renting and owning holiday lodges and caravans as well as for glamping and touring stays.
It provides guests and owners with a range of attractions and facilities including two outdoor pools, an indoor pool, live entertainment, two restaurants, and a cafe.
The new million-pound Harbours Heights development, said Beverley director Nicola Furneaux, represents the most ambitious and prestigious investment in the family’s business to date:
“This exclusive collection of beautifully crafted holiday homes has been carefully curated to combine luxury lodge living with some of Devon’s most spectacular views,” she said.
“This is a hugely significant moment for Beverley Holidays, and Harbour Heights combines the qualities of high standards and great value that have always defined our family business.
“To officially open Harbour Heights on the anniversary of my grandfather purchasing the original farmland makes the occasion incredibly special.
“Seeing four generations of our family come together to celebrate this milestone with Beverley’s many friends and colleagues is something I’ll never forget.
“I think my grandfather would be immensely proud to see how his vision has evolved, and how future generations of families will continue making memories here,” she added.
