Holiday park team builders tipped for top enterprise award

Harry Fry says holiday parks have been underserved in the past by general recruitment agencies

JUST ONE YEAR after it was launched, a holiday park staff recruitment agency has been shortlisted in the latest round of the UK Start-Up awards (Wales).

HPL Recruitment will now enter the finals of the competition later this year after being nominated as one of Wales’s most promising new businesses.

The agency was founded by recruitment executive Harry Fry who is also a member of Next Generation Network of the Holiday and Residential Parks Association (HARPA).

HPL says it aims to bring specialist recruitment services to the holiday park industry which has historically been underserved by generalist agencies with limited knowledge of its specific staffing demands.

Rather than treating holiday parks as just another client sector, said Harry, HPL was designed to understand its unique hiring pressures, from seasonal peaks and on-site management roles to senior leadership appointments.

Harry launched the business alone before growing to a team of three, with Steph Jones and Connor Jobson joining to bring the same values-led approach to every candidate and client interaction.

“This sector deserved better than a generic recruiter who’d never set foot on a holiday park.” said Harry. “Every placement we make is intended to be a long-term fit for the operator, for the team, and for the candidate.

“Being shortlisted for Rising Star after just a year tells us that our approach is working, and we are both proud and delighted at being put forward for this award.”
