There was a swashbuckling experience for visito Landscove Holiday Park in Brixham this April at the opening of a new holiday home development.
Torbay Council’s tourism and culture chief, Nicole Amil, officially cut the tape on a new village of 60 caravan holiday homes and lodges on the park – but she wasn’t alone.
That’s because Nicole was joined by a rioto the annual Brixham Pirate Festival.
The official opening signalled the start of a two-day celebration event attended by scores of families from the Brixham area.
With the help of Landscove’s polished entertainments team, plus park mascots Loopy and Cyril, grown-ups and children enjoyed a smile-a-minute time.
At the heart of the activity was the third development of new holiday homes which the park has seen in as many years – and this is the most ambitious so far.
Said by the Landscove to own from around £25,000.
Also available will be 13 architect-designed lodges with two or three bedrooms from £120,000.

“We have been the proud owners of Landscove for over twenty-five years, and invested heavily over that time in new features and accommodation,” he said.
“The park is already responsible for millions of pounds of visitor spending in the Brixham area every year, much of which benefits smaller family-owned businesses such as pubs and shops.
“This latest development will boost the local economy by at least another half-million pounds, and provides a chance tock.
“We had a fantastic weekend, and are very grateful to launch the new development, and for her encouraging words about what we and our staff have achieved,” added Tony.
Set in an exclusive landscaped area of the park, each holiday home has spectacular coastal views which can be enjoyed from their inclusive all-weather decking.
Features of the new holiday homes include state-of-the-art kitchens with the latest appliances, contemporary furnishings and decor, large light and airy living areas, and full domestic central heating.
Owners of the homes will be able to take advantage of an extended 50-week season on the park which is one of the most popular among the five in Devon operated by Park Holidays UK.
Landscove provides both indoor and outdoor heated swimming pools and a first-class entertainment venue – all free to use for owners and guests – plus a bar and restaurant.
