Yorks holiday park Kingfisher set to soar with new luxury lodges

The two wildlife lakes at Kingfisher are a magnet for many different bird and animal species

KINGFISHER HOLIDAY PARK in North Yorkshire is now offering new options for people seeking a stay in some of Britain’s most beautiful natural surroundings.

Located near the market town of Knaresborough, Kingfisher boasts two tranquil lakes, a wildlife nature reserve, landscaped grounds and ancient woodlands.

The long-established business was acquired by Park Holidays UK in spring this year, and the group has now begun a major investment in new accommodation.

Work has already started on a prestigious development of luxury holiday lodges around one of the lakes.

Meanwhile, would-be holiday home owners wanting a taste of what makes Kingfisher so special can experience the park on a short break in its newly available Kingfisher Cottage.

Fully refurbished to high standards of comfort, the honey-coloured Yorkshire stone property provides four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and lashings of living space.

Four-night stays start from £369.00, and guests will be able to enjoy a perfect countryside get-away in glorious surroundings with the Yorkshire Dales and moors on their doorstep.

Kingfisher is also just a few miles from the spa town of Harrogate, as well as other famous visitor attractions such as historic York, Skipton, and Fountains Abbey.

Kingfisher’s comfy cottage is also available to rent

But there is also much to discover in the wildlife-rich grounds of the park itself, including woodland trails which offer enchanting views and take in the park’s many natural features.

Its two spring-fed lakes are a magnet for resident and visiting bird species including the elusive kingfisher, and support a range of aquatic life such as dragonflies and waterfowl.

As well as cottage stays, the park provides pitches for motorhomes, touring caravans and camping guests with electric hook-ups, laundry facilities, and a fully-serviced amenity building.

Kingfisher has attracted a host of glowing reviews, as well as testimonials from customers such as Jane and David who are now celebrating 23 years of regular visits to the park.

“We’ve never feel the need to look elsewhere as Kingfisher is just perfect for us – not least because of the peace and quiet, and relaxed and friendly atmosphere,” said Jane.

“The park enables us to enjoy taking life at our own pace, and we spend virtually every weekend at Kingfisher during the season; it really is our happy place!” adds David.
