STAFF AND THE FAMILY OWNERS of Searles Leisure Resort in Hunstanton, Norfolk, are celebrating after gaining one of tourism’s most prestigious accolades.
The seaside park has been announced as the winner of the AA’s 2026/2027 five-star Platinum rating, the highest quality grade awarded by the organisation.
Last year, Searles achieved a Gold level award from the AA after its facilities, services, hospitality and guest reviews were all assessed by inspectors.
This year, they decided, Searles had met the threshold required for elevation to its top honour, shared only by a small elite of parks across the UK.
Earlier this year, Searles announced a £2 million investment in its business which included the creation of new offices and a holiday home sales showground.
The park has consistently re-invested in its guest facilities since its formation in 1954, and is today recognised as one of North Norfolk’s top holiday destinations.
Staying options range from glamping accommodation to luxury holiday caravans and lodges to buy and to rent, plus pitches for touring caravans, motorhomes and tents.
Guest facilities include a raft of family-friendly attractions and indoor and outdoor activities, many focussed on youngsters of all ages.
Jo Searle, finance director at Searles Leisure Resort, paid tribute to the park’s staff in helping to achieve its latest AA award:
“Moving from Gold to Platinum is something the whole team can be proud of, and we offer every member our heartfelt congratulations.
“The award recognises the care and effort that goes into looking after Searles, and giving the people who spend their holidays here the best possible experience,” said Jo.
