Ladram Bay Holiday Park in Budleigh Saltertourism industry’s most prestigious award events.
The family-run business was put under the spotlight no fewer than three times in one night at the annual conference of major holiday bookings agency Hoseasons.
Ladram Bay’s first honour came when judges declared it top Diamond Award for Family Fun in the Devon, Somerset and Dorset region.
It is the seventh year in succession that the park, owned by the same family for over 70 years, has come home from the event with the premier family fun trophy.
Next came a national prize for Ladram Bay as it was named as the overall UK winner of the Customer Choice Food Award for the quality and value of its catering facilities.
Both accolades are based on the number of customer satisfaction ratings received by Hoseasons from families who have stayed on the hundreds of parks with which they deal.
The sparkling awards event, where guests included funny man Rob Brydon and politicians Nick Clegg and Michael Portillo, was held at Celtic Manor in Newport, South Wales.
But those weren’t the only two honours brought back to the conference.
And in the same game, a special award for the longest drive went tor Zoe House who is a member of the park-owning family.
From a small cliff-to become one of Devon’s largest and most celebrated parks.
The Hoseasons awards, said Zoe, are held in especially high regard because they are based on the verdicts of thousands of people who have experienced the park first-hand:
“We owe a really big thank-you tors, or as a result of a recommendation from a friend or family member,” she said.
“By contrast, many of those who book with us via Hoseasons are making their first visit to come back.
“The two awards we won suggest that the park is clearly ticking the right boxes for them, and I am sure that many of these families will also become regulars in the future!” added Zoe.
Guests have use of the park’s extensive facilities, including a new indoor climbing wall as well as a swimming pool complex, and the adventure golf course.
There’s also a restaurant and take-away, a beach-side shack where watersports equipment can be hired, and first-class day and evening entertainment.
Ladram Bay provides a wide range of holiday homes torhomes and tents.
