THE FAMILY OWNERS of Hampshire Hills glamping park near Winchester are celebrating the news that they have won Tripadvisor’s prestigious Travellers’ Choice Award for 2026.
Presented annually to the world’s most highly rated tourism businesses, the Travellers’ Choice Awards are based on millions of reviews and opinions from travellers around the globe.
The awards, says Tripadvisor, represent the top 10% of listings over the past year, and reflect “the best of the best” for outstanding service, quality, and all-round customer satisfaction.
Hampshire Hills will now be given worldwide publicity on the Tripadvisor website and shown to families as a top choice for holidays in Hampshire.
Located in the village of Bighton near the South Downs National Park, the business is owned by Shaun Ascough and his wife Michele.
The couple acquired the park, then known as Two Hoots Camping Site, in 2020 – and have since invested much time and energy into giving it a head-to-toe makeover.
Today it offers not just campervan and touring caravan facilities, but also a range of luxurious glamping holiday retreats set in tranquil, wildlife-rich surroundings.

“We’re so proud of being included in the elite of Tripadvisor’s holiday providers, and the award comes at a great time as the main holiday season gets underway,” said Shaun.
“It’s especially important to us because the Travellers’ Choice winners are selected not just for their quality standards, but also for the exceptional service which guests receive.
“Our priority is always to give customers the best possible experience when they escape to this beautiful part of Hampshire, so it’s great to learn that we have made the grade!
“We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to these glowing reviews and helped us achieve this amazing outcome,” added Shaun.
Other recent awards include the winning of the titles of the Best Small Site in the UK and the Best Adult-Only Site in SE England, and inclusion in the UK Top 150 Outstanding Holiday Parks list.
The park is an active member of both the exclusive Tranquil Parks consortium, and the Holiday and Residential Parks Association (HARPA).
