Park Holidays reports Bonzo bookings boom as families shun scorching continent

You’re coming with us! Families don’t need to leave their pets behind at Park Holidays UK

PARK HOLIDAYS UK is taking the lead for dog-owning families this year with bookings romping ahead of previously recorded figures.

One reason, says the group, is that more people are now shunning overseas holidays and preferring a British break in much more comfortable temperatures.

It means that families opting for a staycation no longer have to kennel their pets when they go away, and can enjoy a fun-filled break with their four-legged friends.

Park Holidays UK says it is responding to pooch power by introducing even more Fido-friendly facilities across its portfolio of fifty-plus parks.

Dog-washing stations, dedicated dog walking areas and park cafes and restaurants which welcome woofs are now increasingly being provided.

Children and dogs enjoy the freedom

Brad May, Chief Marketing Officer at Park Holidays UK, said the company has always gone the extra mile to give its parks the Rex factor:

“Many people regard their dogs as one of the family, and the growing preference for UK holidays means that they won’t have to endure the pain of separation,” said Brad.

“Our parks are a great choice as there’s plenty of room in a holiday caravan or lodge for everyone, and the grounds are virtually traffic-free for exercising dogs on a lead.

“In addition, all of our parks have easy access to footpaths through delightful countryside or along coastal footpaths without having to get in the car.

“Dogs can benefit as much as humans from a change of scenery, and owners can enjoy a healthy outdoor holiday without having to shelter from scorching temperatures,” added Brad.

The group makes a small surcharge for pets, but points out that this is just a fraction of the cost of many boarding kennels where guests’ pets would otherwise be pining.

Park Holidays UK has also made booking changes to benefit families who prefer to pay a bit extra to enjoy some of the group’s top-end accommodation.

Now they can stay with their pets in selected Silver, Gold and Platinum holiday homes. There’s even an option to choose a caravan or lodge with decking, giving them, and their pooch extra outdoor space to enjoy together.

Spring and summer breaks start from £129, and can be booked with just a £30 deposit and the balance not due until six weeks before arrival.

Deals are listed at www.ParkHolidays.com, and visitors can subscribe to the group’s email offers which from time-to-time include “pets stay free” deals.
