PARK HOLIDAYS UK says it is “proud and delighted” to be the new owner of Kingfisher Holiday Park near the historic market town of Knaresborough in North Yorkshire.
The acquisition of the long-established business, with its two lakes and wildlife-rich nature reserve, brings to 55 the number of parks now operated by the group in Britain.
Kingfisher, says Park Holidays UK, will provide holiday home ownership opportunities for those seeking a perfect countryside retreat just a few miles from the spa town of Harrogate.
It will also be welcoming motorhome, touring caravan and camping guests with facilities including 10amp electric hook-ups, laundry facilities, and a fully-serviced toilet and shower building.
Kingfisher’s tranquil wooded grounds can be explored along a series of trails which provide enchanting vistas of the surrounding landscapes, and take in the park’s many natural features.
Its two spring-fed lakes are a magnet for resident and visiting bird species including the elusive kingfisher, and support a range of aquatic life such as dragonflies and waterfowl.
Holiday homes will be available to buy in a prestigious development of luxury holiday homes located around one of the lakes.

“Kingfisher Holiday Park makes for an idyllic get-away location in so many different ways,” said Brad May, Chief Marketing Officer for Park Holidays UK.
“It’s right in the heart of some of North Yorkshire’s most beautiful countryside, but only a short drive to York and other popular visitor destination such as Fountains Abbey.
“The park has attracted a host of glowing reviews over the years, many mentioning its peacefulness, immaculate grounds and beautiful dog-friendly walking areas.
“Kingfisher provides us with another valuable presence in rural northern England, and is a perfect fit to our other award-winning countryside and coastal parks across the UK.
“The park offers great potential, and we will be considering how we best invest to build on its many existing strengths,” said Brad.
Kingfisher Holiday Park has now been added to the group’s website at parkholidays.com which includes details of touring and camping breaks starting from £32 per night.
Touring breaks are offered from March to November, and seasonal touring pitches and storage are also available. For more information see www.parkholidays.com/holidays/parks/yorkshire/kingfisher
Website visitors can also join a priority list for news of upcoming holiday home ownership opportunities, and will receive an early invitation to view the park and available plots.
