Somerset holiday park set for its cracker of a Christmas

A FAMILY-RUN Somerset holiday park has been given the green light to stay.

Bath Chew Valley Caravan Park, in Bishop Sutton near Bath, says its annual display of festive lights and decorations will be more spectacular than ever this year.

The multi-award winning park has been owned by the Betto be even more eagerly anticipated than ever this year.

Bath city and Chew Valley are both in Tier 2, which alongside the park’s COVID-secure gradings by the AA and Visit England, provides assurance for guests wanting to enjoy a Christmas break.

“Visito join in the festive fun and great atmosphere” said Keith.

“We even hold a competition for the best decorated unit, and some guests go to outshine their neighbours in a spirit of friendly rivalry!

“This year will definitely top last Christmas as we now have two luxury lodges for hire which will be decked inside and out with all the sparkle of the season.

“It’s been a very challenging year for everyone, and we are hoping that guests will find  much-needed light relief to finish the year on a high,” added Keith.

After re-opening from the first lockdown in July, he said, Bath Chew Valley has been “busy beyond belief” despite operating at under-capacity to ensure social distancing.

The adults-only park’s pitches are spread across more than four acres of landscaped grounds, including dog exercising areas and a woodland conservation trail.

Keith said that the beautiful surroundings, fresh air, and closeness tory again in December:

“We have many bookings now for Christmas, the New Year, and well into 2021 so we are naturally very optimistic about the long-term prospects for the park.

“But we still have a lot of ground to keep their heads above water.

“That’s why we are also publicising the many different nearby attractions and places to visit over the coming weeks, including the stunning illuminations in Bath.

“Everyone here is dreaming of a bright Christmas, and we can’t wait tor on the board of the Best of British caravan, camping and holiday parks group.

The 50-plus independent and family-run parks which comprise the consortium all provide exceptional surroundings, services and facilities.
